My New Favorite Beach

It's new and it's local!

The nice thing about this beach is that it isn't on the ocean...well it's not on the Gulf of Mexico, it's actually a lake!

Tons and tons of white sand was trucked in, soft, fine white sand.

The lake is large enough to do some serious kayaking, (which they rent for $10 an hour.)

Do you see a figure in these clouds blessing us sunbathers?

I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon under my pink and yellow umbrella
just one day before the Tampa area was deluged with rain and flooding.
Reading my book, people watching, I enjoyed the delights of the cool lake water.

The palms behind me are newly trimmed but will fill out soon and much of the landscaping is
still under construction but it's a great place to spend the afternoon!

The weather here is nice enough to enjoy this lake all year around.
It opened this month after years of planning and more it to be added in addition to the activities that are already here: inflatable slides which you can see in the top photo, the volleyball courts and Kayaks,

What a lovely beach type place without the beach.

I should know where "local" is, but I forget. This is AMAZING!

Pretty views of the lake and beach, it looks like a nice place. Great shots, I hope the flood water in Tampa has receded. Happy weekend!

I just LOVE beaches and water...not crazy about getting IN the water...but sure like being on the beach. I don't like water that I can't see what's down there. Swimming pools are for me. LOL
Have a great time at this beautiful place.

Wow! So excited to see what's been in the planning stages! I can't wait to join you there one of these days! I LOVE the idea of sitting in one of those little chairs right in the water! Especially with an umbrella!

Funny how when I think of Florida I always think of miles of ocean,,,never lakes. ;)

What a grand place to get outdoors. Bring on our summer.
The hat, the glasses---are you trying to go incognito? ;)

Oh how fun - what a lovely beach. We have something similar called Wake Island near us in the Sacramento Roseville CA area.. It's a long way from the ocean. I'm looking forward to checking it out one of these days....weeks....years. Someday, anyway. After seeing your gorgeous beach, I'm now hoping for sooner! :)

It's a lake, the better because the water is still :) Although I'm surprised with the white sand. It's an added treat. Most of the lake in my country are not made of the finest and whitest sand.

Ah yes, the hat and sunglasses. This place hasn't been discovered yet, so no one to hide from. By 6:00 p.m. I was the only one left on the beach!

Nice views of people relaxing at the lake.
You know, I am not a huge beach fan, but now that I see the way one can hangout on a chair and have one's feet in the water, I might be up for it :)
Have a Great Week!
Peace :)
Love the blue chair!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
