Mishmash!

Lately, I'm so busy I haven't had time to blog but here is a quick mishmash of my activities!

Etegami


The motto of Etegami is:  It's fine to be clumsy.

Well that suits me just fine because I am not a perfectionist in any way.  Above is an Etegami postcard I sent my daughter in law.  Mistakes and all. 


I saw this and loved it.  
It seems that I have been taking a zillion pictures lately!

Including a selfie or two!!



Pocket letters!  I'm all about pocket letters.
Here is one I received!  With bonus stuff!
Perfect for my Pink Saturday offering!


It came in the mail in a large envelope decorated with stickers and had some 
bonus cards and a note pad!



 Here is the actual pocket letter with a beach theme.

The back side had goodies enclosed!



I've also been doing some geocaching here and there, attending events and meeting
new people. 

I took this shot sitting along a beautiful river bank and finding my cache contained just a log and a blue marble.  
I took the photo for Blue Monday

 and for Shadow Shot Sunday2 - it cast a lovely blue shadow!  




I'm also making another Jeannie Beanie Bumpy Blanket!  I love this yarn, it's the softest ever!






This blanket I made two years ago is on it's second baby!

In addition I have been attending game nights with a local group playing board games until late in the night at all night iHop!  Having lunches, dinners and thrifting with my mom and sisters and squeaking time out to read and crochet.  

Life has been a mishmash!

Now this list of pics offer an eclectic look of how we live our lives. There is so much nuance in our lives it may be wise to keep a camera with us at all times so we can get many snapshots of our full existence - which is never boring :)

You are just having way too much fun my dear (LOL). Great fun reading about all your activities, some of them I've never heard about (the late night board games at IHOP -- what fun.) We have a lot of activities here at our RV Resort, and we only do a small fraction of them, but it is really good to have them -- for the social life and for getting out of one's comfort zone and trying new things painlessly!

Hello Jeannie Marie, I was so happy to see your so blue marble from a Geocashe you found. My daughter and her family do Geocashing a lot. I have been with her a few times and it is exciting and fun. Love the shadow it made as well.

It sounds like you are a busy person and having a great time being busy. My kind of woman. Lol.

Mish mash seems to be our way of life and a camera is a great idea to have at hand. I have a Bil who never leaves his camera wherever he goes, specially with family and hey, we always have to ask him for the memories, lol..

Future Non Scary Trunk or Treat Ideas

We had a Family Fun Night at our church on Wednesday Oct 31 and the public was invited to participate via flyers and signs.  The two hour fun night had several event areas.  In the sanctuary the teens had a fun 10 minute skit they put on every half hour of the evening.  The one side of the church's parking lot had a huge bouncy house and a dozen or so carnival games with prizes and the other side of the church on the parking lot we had a Trunk or Treat.   I participated on the Trunk or Treat event and unfortunately was so busy I didn't get over to the other events for photos. I was able to photograph some of the other decorated trunks while they were setting up to get future ideas.  It was my first time of participating in this kind of event although my grandkids have gone to them in years past.   I charged it up a bit with some extras at the last minute, like lights and some other decorations.   I repurposed my house decor for one evening...so I didn't

Disney World's Polynesian Resort Hotel

When we first arrived at Disney World we took the boat over to the Magic Kingdom.  Mr. Bill remarked, as we passed the Polynesian Resort, he never had any desire to stay there.  It looked boring to him from the outside.  I hadn't thought much about it, but I did like the lit torches when we passed by on the monorail.  I decided this trip, since we had a free day, we would stop in and tour the three hotels on the line.  We toured the Grand Floridian , the Polynesian Resort and the Contemporary Resort From a distance it doesn't look too exciting.  I could understand his lack of enthusiasm.   When we stepped off the monorail however, the entrance was incredibly gorgeous.  The waterfall was something we hadn't noticed as it was somewhat hidden from the view of the passengers riding.  It was framed by colorful blooms and multiply kinds of foliage.  Completely setting the stage for a visit in the South Seas.   Inside the decor was tropical and spacious with o

James' Summer Plans

Youngest kid, James has a full summer ahead after such a busy spring. This is nothing compared to the events coming up this fall for him! European Festival Tour : The Christian Metal band, The Devil Wears Prada has returned home to the states after a successful two weeks playing music festivals all over Europe. Download Festival, at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England was the final show. Here is a clip just prior to The Devil Wears Prada taking on Main Stage: Download Festival Song Release After arriving home, Ferret Music released one song, Born To Lose, from their highly anticipated album, which will remain unnamed until the release date. The song was released on Monday June 13, 2011 and was well received. It isn't the heaviest offering on the album, but Frontman, Mike Hranica, states it is a comprehensive preview of the album.
