Japan at Epcot World Showcase
JAPAN!
We really explored several countries while we were at the World Showcase at Epcot. Instead of walking around the the lake on the main thoroughfare, we went into the shops and in the nooks and crannies.
I loved the Buddah Board! Painting with water, just for the moment. It fades away, ready for a new "moment" in minutes. It was too hard to resist and I took one home.
Starts with C: Calendar
A 2016 calendar was a great temptation but just would not fit into my decor, as eclectic as it is!
Everywhere was beauty in the most simplistic of fashion.
We decided to have lunch at
TEPPAN EDO
The Dining room!

The simplicity was beautiful:
Out hostess leading the way down a simple hallway to the dining room.
Our friendly waitress
My sister in law, Kim in the foreground and my niece Shannon watching the cook intently.
We shared the meal with five other guests at our table.
Starts with C: Cook!
She was quite fascinating! From funny stories to amazing skill,
she prepared the meal before our eyes!
It smelled heavenly! It was a great experience.
I chose the salmon. They offered vegetables and noodles and fried rice with it.
The sauces were amazing, three different sauces in the tray above plus a special seafood sauce.
Even with the "beginner" chopsticks I still couldn't manage them. Forks were also offered.

Afterwards we visited the exhibition of Kawaii, the art of cuteness!
After WWII the people of Japan looked inward towards something fun to focus on and the culture
of cuteness was born. Here is a photo from one of the room full of displays:
It was very fun and refreshing!
The blue glow reminded me of Blue Monday!

Spending as much time as we did in each country we only managed to really explore four of them
It was hard to believe how much each country offered after years of just blowing through quickly to see as much as possible.
I'll do a blog on each country from this trip. I can't wait to go back and explore the many other areas we didn't get to.
So for Friday's Hunt post I have Cook and Calendar. For inside, it would be inside the restaurant! My favorite picture of the week is this last one. It certainly represents my love of travel.
Check out Friday's Hunt for some really fun posts!
