My Palm Tree Whimsy

I love Italian dishes and this little tidbit tray has quite the Mediterranean flair.
The colors are even reminiscent of the Italian Flag.

This tray calls for bruschetta piled on the bottom with stuffed dates and olives on top.
Perhaps cheese filled tomatoes and mini quiche's.  There are so many choices of fun savory appetizers!

The tiny vase topper is perfect for your fancy whimsical toothpicks or just colorful cellophane ones.

The street market theme is so beautiful!  The flowers predominate but I loved the Palm in the back.

I chose a clear glass base so we would lose very little of the picture.

The plate is marked on the bottom

The vintage Jadeite scalloped bowl from Fire King made a perfect Palm and was fun!
The orange rimmed plate picked up the orange in the flowers in the street market and is not competing with the bottom plate but is not lost in the overall piece.

The little blue Chinese tea cup is the perfect topper for a savory plate!

You remember I said I would be splitting up the tea service back in this post  .

This one was really fun to make.

Jeannie,
Oh I see that you do like to play with plates also. Love your creation! So many fun things can be made from dishes, such a nice conversation piece for sure.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and leaving a sweet comment about my plate flowers. Here in Texas we can leave the plate flowers out for some time also, takes a while before it starts cooling off to effect them. Today's high is 98 degrees. Hot,hot, hot!
Oh, I'm now your newest follower. Look forward to reading more of your blog.
This is just so very cute! I put a polka dot glass lamp shade in my donation box...I'm going to get it back out! haha! Now see what you've done! heehee!

I have seen several where they put plates and bowls and cups together!! Nice what they end up with!! (never end a sentence with a preprosition)
You put together such a fun combination. Yes, definitely screaming for an Italian dish! I have made stands before, but never used as many items. Very clever! Thanks for sharing it with SYC.
hugs,
